XML for Analysis tester

Introduction

Mondrian Version : mondrian-3.0.4.11371

This sample shows the various XMLA queries executed against MondrianXmlaServlet servlet, and give the result as XML document.

File Configuration

The configuration detail that you need is in WEB-INF/datasources.xml which can see in this article.

Testing

Open your Mondrian web application and click on the ninth sample from the index page (XMLA for Analysis tester). You should see an OLAP data table with a JPivot toolbar. Drill through some of the dimension level nodes.

For example, my web application is located at http://localhost:8080/mondrian and my "XMLA for Analysis tester" sample url is http://localhost:8080/mondrian/xmlaTest.jsp.

  • You will see some actions list from a drop down combo. Select "1. discoverDataSources"



  • Click on "show request" button. The XMLA action will be shown in textarea below the button



  • Click on "run" button to execute the action query shown and you should get an XML document as the result


  • Done

You should try to execute another actions and see the results as your insights on Mondrian's XMLA behaviours.
